Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Richland County Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) defines that term. Information on this service, and results from a linked third-party tool, cannot be used for decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
Information Accuracy
Record fields can be corrected, offices can change portals or fees, collections can move, and digitization coverage can change. Although the service is maintained, no item here is guaranteed accurate at a particular time. Verify a record with its custodian before relying on it.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on this service is legal advice. It points to Richland County record sources and describes how rolls and directories generally operate. It is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney.
Lawful Use
Public records are not a license to harm others. Do not use material reached through this service to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person. Misuse of personal information can violate South Carolina and federal law and breaches the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party companies. We do not control the results, charges, or handling of submitted information by those tools. Their results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports.
Links to Other Resources
Links may lead to Assessor and Register of Deeds portals, election lookups, court searches, library local-history collections, archives, and related resources. We are not responsible for an external service’s content, accuracy, or availability.
Records Are Not Hosted Here
This service does not hold a government roll, directory volume, court file, or vital record. It points to the offices, libraries, and portals that hold them. To obtain, verify, or correct a record, contact the responsible custodian directly.
